Reviews

Yes, there are nude children in it. Yes, it's controversial. Yes, the man may have been a pervert, but the photographs speak for themselves as true art. The landscape photography was not perfect (I always believed landscapes should be in full color or sepia), but it works. The big BUT? First, the captions on the photographs are disturbing at times. "Forbidden Fruit", "False Innocence", "What Dreams Are Made Of"? These all refer to pictures of pre-teen vaginas. This may be artistic in some circles, but the captions cheapen the artistic quality. The OTHER big BUT? The fruits. The still lifes look like a sad attempt at mixing several styles of photography to make the compilation seem more artistic. Still lifes like these look like high school or college lighting and framing practice projects. The book would do much better without them.On the positive side, there are many (close to a hundred or more) pictures that make this book worth several views. Because of the two big BUTs above, this cannot get a perfect score in my book.
