Reviews
As a jazz age fashion aficionado and collector of fashion books I had high hopes and expectations that this volume far exceeded. The book includes beautiful full length and detail photographs of dresses, jackets, capes, shoes, hats and underwear of the period. The photos show the transparency of transparent garments and the exquisite handwork detail of sequin, embroidery and lace designs.Text is pared to a useful amount - enough commentary to bring the reader a certain level of emotional intimacy with these stunning garments. There's even a section advising on the proper care, cleaning and storage of clothing made with 1920's materials and technology. An excellent addition to a fashion library.
